The Maxxcross MX-IH is Maxxis's intermediate-to-hard terrain motocross tire, developed and tested with 7X Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath. It uses a newer tread pattern, compound, and carcass construction than the older Maxxcross IT, aimed at a consistent, compliant feel under cornering, acceleration, and braking on hard-packed and intermediate dirt. The front tire's tread and carcass are tuned specifically for lean-angle grip and stability. It is built for pro-level motocross and supercross racing as well as serious weekend riders, and is a distinct, newer tire from the similarly-named Maxxcross IT.
