Shoei GT-Air 3
The Shoei GT-Air 3 is a full-face sport-touring helmet built for riders who cover distance and demand versatility without aerodynamic compromise. Its AIM composite shell, drop-down QSV-2 internal sun visor, and factory-integrated SHOEI Comlink housing for the Sena SRL3 combine to handle everything from commutes to multi-day touring runs in a single helmet.
AIM Shell and EPS Construction
- Shell composed of fiberglass and organic fibers in SHOEI's AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) layup, delivering high flexibility at low weight
- Polystyrene core system uses multiple elements of different absorption capacities for targeted energy management at key impact zones
Wind Tunnel Aerodynamics
- 6% less wind resistance than the GT-Air 2, measured in SHOEI's wind tunnel
- 11% less lift than the GT-Air 2
- Distinct integrated spoiler with smooth visor-to-shell transitions; engineered for maximum noise reduction
Multi-Port Ventilation System
- Upper air intake with front edge and baseplate ridge geometry tuned in wind tunnel testing
- Top air outlets repositioned higher on the shell for increased expulsion efficiency
- Lower air intake equipped with a removable insect filter
- Ventilation channels built into the EPS liner connect to four upper head outlet openings; vent sliders sized for gloved operation
CNS-1C Shield and QSV-2 Internal Sun Visor
- CNS-1C shield offers high optical quality and a large usable field of vision; reduces more than 99% of incoming UV radiation
- QSV-2 internal sun visor is 5mm larger than its predecessor for enhanced coverage and reduced light intrusion
- Improved slightly-open shield position supports airflow management and helps prevent fogging; center locking mechanism operable with thick gloves
SHOEI Comlink — Integrated Sena SRL3 Housing
- Factory-integrated communication housing compatible with the optional Sena SRL3
- Flush controls, internal battery, and no externally mounted components maintain a clean aerodynamic profile
- Rear charging port allows charging while the helmet rests on a flat surface
Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S.) and Retention
- E.Q.R.S. cheek pads allow rapid helmet removal by first responders
- Redesigned stainless steel micro ratchet closure with high-strength, high-elasticity fiber strap; strap width reduced from 25mm to 21mm with a large-angle lever that prevents unintentional opening
