The Geomax AT81 EX is Dunlop's extreme-conditions variant of the AT81, built on the same tread pattern and two-ply nylon carcass but paired with an ultra-grippy compound for harder off-road use. Lateral grooves on the shoulder knobs add biting edges and let the knobs flex more for traction across a broad range of terrain. In-line rear center blocks give a larger contact patch, while Dunlop's 'plush pad' recess design between tread blocks improves bump absorption and ride comfort. It was developed with input from off-road racers Cody Webb and Destry Abbott and is offered only as a rear tire.
