The Dunlop Sportmax Q5 is a DOT-approved, street-legal radial built for track-day-level performance beyond Dunlop's earlier street tires. It uses race-derived compounds and an updated tire profile to increase the contact footprint at extreme lean angles, giving strong dry and wet grip without needing tire warmers or chassis adjustments. Jointless belt construction and Dunlop's Isolated Rib Pattern (IRP) tread combine for stability, reduced heat buildup, and linear steering feel. It targets literbike and supersport platforms such as the BMW S1000RR, Ducati Panigale V4, Honda CBR1000RR, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and Suzuki GSX-R1000. It is manufactured at Dunlop's Buffalo, New York plant on the same equipment used for the brand's racing tire lines.
