Continental ContiRoad — 100/80-17 Front

The ContiRoad is Continental's sport-touring tire for country-road riding, using a silica-based compound Continental says improves wet grip through better micro-interlocking with the asphalt. The specific sizes carried here (100/80-17 and 110/70-17 front; 130/70-17 and 140/70-17 rear) are the smaller-displacement fitments Continental introduced for machines up to roughly 300cc, and use the dash ('-') size notation rather than the radial 'R'/'ZR' notation used on the larger ContiRoad sport-touring sizes. Continental cites non-tangent profile grooves in the rear tread for higher mileage and a tread design with an extra-large positive (contact) area for mechanical grip. Continental positions the wider ContiRoad range (including radial ZR sizes not covered by this size set) as original equipment on the Triumph Street Triple R.
