A super heavy-duty non-sealed chain for small-displacement street bikes and mid-size off-road racing — JT rates the 520 HDS to 350cc street and 600cc motocross use. Non-sealed, solid-bush construction with riveted bushes shrugs off repeated shock loading and keeps rolling drag low; it needs regular lubrication rather than relying on sealed-in grease. Heat-treated pins and side plates deliver roughly 8,860 lb tensile strength — a step up from the HDR line. Pre-stretched at the factory so initial slack stabilizes quickly during break-in. Ships with a clip-type connecting link (a rivet link is sold on this page).
