The Scorpion XC Mid Soft is Pirelli's cross-country enduro racing tire for soft-to-medium off-road terrain such as sand, mud, soil, and gravel. It uses a High Module Low Shrinkage (HMLS) polyester carcass built for a large, regular footprint that maximizes traction and braking. Small hard blocks on the front tire sharpen steering precision, and the racing compound is tuned to hold performance for the full length of a race regardless of conditions. Per Pirelli's own size charts, both rear sizes (110/100-18, 120/100-18) are marked NHS (Not for Highway Service, competition use only, no road homologation), while the 80/100-21 front carries Pirelli's MST (Multi Service Tyre) code.
